Terms and Conditions

Should the client suspend or terminate the project for any reason during any stage of this agreement, the designer will be compensated for the portion of work completed, as stipulated in this contract. No refunds will be provided once any work product has been produced and partial payment has been made. Any refund requests for services must be submitted in writing and will be considered according to the terms of this contract.

The designer will neither commence nor continue work in progress if the client does not adhere to the payment schedule.

Any client-initiated alterations after the "design approval" will incur an hourly charge of $75.00, payable upon each delivery of the revised design.

The designer shall not be held responsible, nor shall compensation for the designer be withheld due to contractor delays, nonperformance, or errors.

The client acknowledges that the compensation outlined herein solely represents direct labor costs, and additional expenses may arise during the course of work. If the client approves an initial design scheme but subsequently requests significant modifications that incur extra time, services, or costs for the Building Designer due to delays caused by the client or contractor, or due to either's delinquency or insolvency, or because of damage from fire or other events, then the Building Designer shall be compensated by the client for such additional services and expenses, irrespective of whether construction occurs.

Additional costs, such as engineering reproductions, certified documents, postage, film and development, scale architectural model expenses, construction estimating, consultation fees, and similar expenses, shall be reimbursed to the designer or may be designated as the owner's responsibility.
